The Observatory for the Economic Development of Bogotá is an initiative of the Secretariat for Economic Development. Its purpose is to produce, manage, analyze, and publish information related to Bogotás economic development. This eases the development of beneficial public policies according to social needs.
According to El Tiempo in the last twenty years over 70,000 people have returned to civilian life in the country. This represents an opportunity for a safer environment for investment due to the end of guerrilla culture in the country. In conjunction with both public and private initiative efforts, a prime opportunity lies in Colombia.
